Roberto Rigo

Son of an artist, he graduated in Trumpet at the “Evaristo Felice Dall'Abaco” Conservatory in Verona in 2000 with top marks. He perfected his skills with Maestros Pierobon, Bodanza, Tamiati, Cadoppi, Burns, Parodi, Dell'Ira, Rivellini and in September 2006 he obtained the II level Academic Diploma in Trumpet with top marks and honors. Since 2001 he has collaborated steadily with I Solisti Veneti and since 2007 he has held the role of First Trumpet, performing as a soloist in the most important halls in the world. He has collaborated as First Trumpet with the most important Italian Orchestras such as the Filarmonica del Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Fondazione Toscanini in Parma, the Regionale Toscana in Florence, Haydn in Bolzano, playing under the guidance of Maestros Muti, Mehta, Pretre, Noseda, R. Abbado, Luisotti and many others. He has carried out considerable chamber music activity with the Concentus Ottoni Arena in Verona, the quintet Organa et Bucinae, the Cameristi di Trento and Verona. He won the Competition for First Trumpet of the Orchestra del Teatro dell'Opera in Rome presided by Maestro Riccardo Muti. He currently holds the Chair of Trumpet at the Conservatory "Giuseppe Nicolini" in Piacenza and teaches in the pre-academic Trumpet Courses at the ISSM "Peri" in Reggio Emilia.
