Giuliano Carella (Milan, 1956), Artistic Director of I Solisti Veneti, graduated in Conducting at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, in Composition at the “Cesare Pollini” Conservatory in Padua and perfected his skills, under the guidance of Franco Ferrara, at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena where he obtained the Diploma of Merit in Conducting.

Artistic Secretary and Maestro with the obligation of conducting the orchestra at the Ente Lirico Arena di Verona from 1983 to 1986, he was subsequently Musical Director of the Puccini Festival of Torre del Lago (1986-1991), First Guest Conductor of the Fondazione Arena di Verona (1998-2002), Musical Director of the Opéra de Toulon (2002-2016). He taught at the Conservatories of Adria, Mantua, Brescia and at the “Felice Evaristo Dall'Abaco” Conservatory of Verona, as a tenured Professor for the Ensemble Music Course for String Instruments and Quartet.

In 2019, after the death of his Master, Claudio Scimone, he was appointed Music Director of I Solisti Veneti and in 2020 Artistic Director.
