Michelangelo Lentini

He graduated in 1999 from the “Niccolò Piccinni” Conservatory in Bari. To date he has performed in more than 50 countries around the world. As a soloist he has played with the EurOrchestra da Camera di Bari, the Bari Province Symphony Orchestra, the Grosseto Symphony Orchestra, the Turkish State Orchestra, the Hradek Cralove Symphony, the Moravian Symphony Orchestra, the Uto Ughi Youth Orchestra, the Lecco Symphony Orchestra, the Toluca Symphony Orchestra, the Murcia Symphony Orchestra, the Pueblo Symphony and the Elche Symphony Orchestra, collaborating with important conductors such as Bruno Aprea, Emin Guven Yaslikam, Jesus Medina, Jacob Chi, Berislav Skenderovich, Marco Angius, Roberto Gianola, Augusto Loppi, Sebastiano Panebianco, Josè Miguel Rodilla, and performing the most important concerts of the violin repertoire. In 1998 Ughi chose him as First Violin of his Youth Orchestra, subsequently inviting him to play in the staff of I Filarmonici di Roma. Since 2006 he has collaborated with I Solisti Veneti with whom he has performed, also as a soloist, in the most important theaters in the world. He has held the role of Concertmaster of the First Violins with the Orchestra of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, the Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Orchestra PalermoClassica, I Solisti di Pavia. Since 2018 Michelangelo Lentini has been the contact for Sardinia of the Associazione Donatori di Musica, for which he organizes concert seasons in the Oncology Departments of the Island's hospitals. After attending the advanced courses held by Uto Ughi (Accademia Chigiana in Siena), Massimo Quarta (Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana), Beatrice Antonioni, he obtained the Diploma of High Specialization in Violin at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, under the guidance of Rodolfo Bonucci and Felix Ayo. He also graduated in Viola and Percussion Instruments. Violin teacher at the “Luigi Canepa” Conservatory in Sassari, he regularly holds advanced courses (UmbriaClassica, International Piano Academy of Imola “Incontri col Maestro”, Accademia di Bosa Antica). Michelangelo Lentini plays the wonderful Guadagnini-Strehler Violin from 1795, kindly entrusted to him by Mrs. Andrea Jonasson Strehler.
