The New Edition of the opens its doors Claudio Scimone International Competition promoted by the Claudio Scimone International Competition Committee, in memory of the great Maestro, founder of the orchestra I Solisti Veneti. Claudio Scimone was a leading figure in the international musical and cultural scene. By virtue of the love that inextricably linked the Maestro to his Soloists, the2024 Edition of the International Competition dedicated to him, created to promote young musical talents, It is aimed at violinists, violists, Cellists And double bass players Of any nationality born after 31 December 1999. It offers them visibility and resonance, rewarding their talent with prizes and scholarships, and also gives them the opportunity to perform as soloists at the concert of The Venetian Soloists directed by Giuliano Carella of the November 17, 2024.
The memory of Claudio Scimone is accompanied by the figure of a patron, the Engineer Claudio Pancolini, philanthropist of the arts and scholar of Beauty.
The Competition, chaired by Maestro Nicola Guerini, includes the following prizes:
– Scimone – Pancolini Award €7,000
– Pancolini Young Talent Award €3,500
– Giuseppe Tartini – Pancolini Award €3,500
In addition to the prizes, the Competition will provide Scholarships of the value of 1000 euros each, awarded by the Jury to the most deserving Candidates.
The collaboration with the is renewed again this year Unicef Committee of Padua, which will award the winner of the Scimone – Pancolini Prize the medal as a testimonial of the values of solidarity and peace of UNICEF in the world, of which music is the universal language.

The call will be active from Tuesday 26 March 2024 and the application for participation at the Competition must arrive within Saturday, October 19, 2024. The Competition is divided into two phases.
There first phase provides for the evaluation of the qualifications and audio-video material sent by the Candidates with one or more link published on YouTube with a maximum overall duration of 15 minutes.
After evaluating the audio-video material, the Jury will select, within Monday, October 28, 2024, the eligible candidates for the second phase who will be summoned for the hearing of Thursday, November 14, 2024 (Auditorium C. Pollini of Padua).
At the end of the second phase the Jury will decree the winners of the Competition Prizes and Scholarships.
As mentioned above, the winners of the Awards will play, as soloists, in the concert by I Solisti Veneti set for Sunday, November 17, 2024 to the 11am to theAuditorium “Cesare Pollini” of Padua, dedicated to Claudio Scimone and directed by Maestro Giuliano Carella.
