He graduated with top marks under the guidance of M° Primo Borali. The encounter with great teachers such as Karl Leister, Thomas Friedli, Walter Boykens, Yohannes Peitz, Hans Deinzer was extremely important for his education. He won the following prizes: First prize at the Stresa International Competition (in both the Duo and Soloist categories), first prize at the Ancona International Competition, first place at the National Competition for the Clarinet Chair in the Conservatories of Music. From 1986 to 1989 he was First Clarinet of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and was chosen by Sergiu Celibidache as First Clarinet of the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra. He collaborates in Italy and abroad with chamber groups such as the American String Quartet, Kegelstatt Trio (with whom he recorded the entire Opera for clarinet, viola and piano) and musicians such as Sergio Azzolini, Maurice Bourgue, Buno Canino, Radovan Vlatkovic. As a soloist he has played with the Orchestra della Radio di Milano, the Chamber Orchestra of Bristol, the Trento Ensemble Zandonai chamber orchestra. With I Solisti Veneti, of which he has been First Clarinet since 1994, he has performed as a soloist in more than 57 countries and at the main international festivals (Salzburg, Mostly Mozart in New York, Musikverein Vienna, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, etc.). He has also made radio, television and discographic recordings with I Solisti Veneti. In 2008 he was invited to cover the role of First Clarinet in the prestigious Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam. He recorded Rossini Concertos for the ARTS label and also records for Sony. He teaches clarinet at the “Francesco Antonio Bonporti” Conservatory in Trento.
