Graduated from the B.Marcello Conservatory of Venice with top marks and the
with honors under the guidance of A.Vismara and P.Gastaldello, he perfected his skills with G. Caussé, P. Farulli and
B.Giuranna. He performs as a concert viola of the Ex Novo Ensemble playing as a soloist
and in chamber music groups for important Italian and foreign concert institutions and
often presenting works in world premiere. He plays as first viola with the Orchestra del Teatro La
Venice Fenice, the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, the Venice Baroque Orchestra, the Orchestra
Filarmonia Veneta. In the field of ancient music he collaborates with various instrumental groups and in
in particular with the ensemble L'Arte dell'Arco since the foundation of the complex.
Since 2017 he has been the viola of the Venice String Quartet.
Numerous recordings for Archiv-Deutsche Grammophon, BMG Deutsche Harmonia
Mundi, Decca, Denon, Nippon Columbia, ASV, Stradivarius and radio and television recordings for
some of the most important European, North American and Japanese broadcasters.
He holds the viola chair at the Steffani Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto.
